This is the lovely postcard Gloria sent to the class while she was in London a few days ago.
Iasked you to write a composition for me "My last holiday". Here is an example of one of your teacher's holiday.
"This summer I went to London for a week with a friend. We decided to go there because a friend lent us his flat for free. We got there by plane. The flat was in Camden Town two minutes walking from the underground station.
The weather was nice, it only rained one day and not for the whole day. It was not my first time in London so I did not go sightseeing like a normal tourist. I focused on museums, my favourite one was The Victoria and Albert Museum. I also went to a musical, "Dirty Dancing", because I loved the film when I was a teenager. At night we went out to pubs and clubs with Spanish friends who live or work in London.
I only had a problem, the bed I slept in was too short and I am too tall, but it was worth it!"

When I was younger and a single Woman. I went with somefriends to Amsterdam.
That summer I didn´t know where I could go for holiday. One friend called and asked me if I wanted go to holidays with her friends. I said of course. And we were preparing the travel during that week. We saw in a travel´s magazine a visit for Amsterdam and liked us.
We got there by bus. The first night, we slept in a road hotel in France. The second night we arrived to Amsterdam and then I could sleep in a good hotel well.
The weather was nice. It was my first time in Holland. We decided to go to the Van Gogh´s museum and Diamonds Factory because I loved the Van Gogh´s paintings and I wanted to know how the daimons were cutting, too.
The first day I woke up early and went to the Van Gogh´s museum. I was contemplating the paintings of the museum during the morning. When I finished I bought two colours plates. the plates are in my actualy house in the sitting room.
The second day we went in out of sheer curiosity to the Daimons Factory with some friends and saw it. But I couldn´t buy any daimonts. It was very expensive.
The rest of the days we were sightseeing Amsterdam on bike. It´s a lovely city. Many peoples drove their bicycles for the street and we wanted to do the same.
At the night we went to some discos with a young man who worked
in the hotel. The same hotel which
we stayed there. One of the disco had a private room. There was a different peoples, it was a famous and a characteristic place of Amsterdam.
I had happy memories of these holidays.

The last summer i went to Berlin with my husband and my best friend. We wanted go to Germany looking for a cool weather, but when we arrived, the weather was horrible, it was boiling in the street.
How ever, we waked up early, rented a bike and went sightseeing around the city, when was too hot we taked away something to eat and came back to the hotel which had air conditioner.
At night we taked a bus and went to dinner and dancing in Zapatas bar.
After 3 days we taked a plane and flyed to Bremen, a small city, where we past a wonderful days because the weather was cold,so we coul go for a walk and enjoy with the countryside.

Last summer Iwent to Madeira whith a friend.We were in group for ten days.
We travelled by car, first an d after, by plane from Madrid to Funchal.
We went there because we thought Madeira is an Island that landscape is beautiful. I was a few disappointing.
I was a little problem with my health, I rested one day in bed in the hotel because I had some virus in my intestine.
Everyday we walked doing trekking.
The weather was warm and the people are very kind and polite whit us.

We went there because we thought Madeira is an Island that landscape is beautiful. I was a few disappointing.

The weather was warm and the people are very kind and polite whit us.
Last summer, my girlfriend and I wanted to go to Costa Rica, but when we knew its weather features, high humidity and heat, we changed of idea.
We searched another places where does not much heat. So we decided to do a cruise on the Baltic Sea for a week.
We took a plane from Barcelona to Copenhagen. The cruise began there. The first night, we were very tired and we went to bed early.
Sunday morning we took a touristic bus near to the port and we visited The Tivoli, The Little Mermaid…
The following days we wake up at half past six, because the excursions started early. We did scales in Wandermunde (near to Berlin), Visby and Stockholm (a very nice city), Tallin, St. Petersburg and finally, Helsinki.
The weather was very good all days saving the first.
It was very nice but a little stressfull.
